It's really not an open-jaw since the unflown portion (GEG-GSO) is not shorter than both the flown segments (GSO-MCI/OKC and MCI/OKC-GEG). They are one-way flights or a one-way flight with a broken fare (different fare basis codes). In any event, what it means for the OP is that it will take 12,500 miles x 2 to get upgrades on the entire trip since it is 2 fare basis codes even though both happened to be the same fare code (K).
