Flight 2316 DTW to LAS on Tuesday 15 November - Occupied seat map inaccuracy

I am scheduled on DL Flight 2316, Detroit-Wayne County, MI (DTW) to Las Vegas, NV (LAS) on Tuesday November 15th, connecting to other flights for a final destination of KOA.

For about the last week, the seat map for DL 2316 is showing 17 first cabin seats available. I didn't receive an upgrade in the three day gold elite window. I called the Delta Airlines Medallion desk. They tell me there are only four seats for sale even though the seat map shows 17 out of 26 seats available.

I selected this flight on the basis of excellent first cabin availability. Does anyone know why the occupied first cabin seat map for DL 2316 is so inaccurate?
