Brigitte and I made a quick getaway to SFO for New Year's and were welcomed with the greatest of hospitality by Johna. Dgolds dropped by and we had a great FT mini get-together. We had a wine, cheese and charcuterie party with a pre-FAQ pastry competition thrown in for good measure. I can't reveal the outcome as I don't want to prejudice the judging of the contest in Montréal. No one really loses when it comes to french pastry.
