Why? The task they had was to run a bling air and burn cash in the hope the econonmy continues to grow and the sales and capacity utilisation will somewhat mitigate the high cost of paying for all the bling. The 'Red' operation was bought from Deccan to get larger size and most importantly the 6 yr old AOC to apply for international operations, a clause the DGCA applied to them.
