I was rather annoyed by this approach: male FA took drink orders for pax, and meal choices from females, with "I prefer to give the ladies first choice." A second pass through for males followed.

I could be making too much of this, but it struck me as smarmy at best, and flat out discriminatory ("I prefer asking non-white passengers first") at worst.

Yes, I realize there are bigger things in life to be concerned about, but thought I'd sound out you folks.
