I pretty much enjoyed HU (Hainan Airlines) - even on short haul domestic you get a quite good meal in Y (we even got a choice between chicken and beef) + free beer.. try that on the local SQ flights (which they disguise as SilkAir)

It's not fair to just compare the premium product from one carrier (ie SQ long haul on new 777 or 380) with one's other short-haul/domestic. The new HU direct flighs PEK-ZRH, for example, forced LX to re-open the route as well (of course they won't admit that, but timing was pretty much on spot)
