I recently started a thread about CX312 (the 5p HKG-PEK) flight and learned that it frequently gets wiped off the schedule or pushed to 5a the next morning at the last minute. To be fair, HU (e.g. PEK-SEA), CA, MU, CZ, and FM (e.g. PEK-SHA) all play the same game, but I've never experienced this on JL... and, I've never flown MH.

But, I don't want to bash CX too hard; I'm a big fan of their new business class. Who cares if the food doesn't hold a candle to Applebee's? It's simply a tolerable (almost enjoyable) way to pass 14 hours. I wish I could say the same about United... yeah UA's seats are good enough, but always find myself wishing the flight would end at around the 7 hour mark (in both C and F).
