Actually on the subject I'm an iPhone user but recently a passenger told me that his blackberry couldn't be turned off , just to flight mode , this was after I very politely asked him to switch it off for take off...... Eventually it was switched off but he did sulk for the remainder of the flight lol , did someone mention behaving like children
It never fails to amaze me how many well known phones apparently can't be switched off. I usually find a quick PA, something along the lines of... "Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a passenger onboard who does not know how to switch his/her Blackberry/iPhone/Galaxy off. If anyone has a similar phone and is able to help this person, could you please make yourself known to a member of the cabin crew"... usually does the trick.
