So I have just completed a weekend stay at Grand Mercure Shanghai Zhongya (nice hotel by the way), and happen to log in to my AClub account to check on things and notice an offer which says "Super Weekend x2" which entitles stays for any accor property anywhere in the world during the weekend for double the usual AClub points. See

So I checked on my points, there you have it, a very quick posting of my points with point accelerator included (I'm plat), but no "Super Weekend x2" bonus points or so I assumed...I was writing to customer support about this discrepancy when a thought came to me before I hit the send button ,"so what's the catch in the offer?"
So I looked up at the terms and conditions, and sure enough one of the conditions being:
"4. A|Club points X2 are calculated according to the points earned by the member based on “Classic” status, without point acceleration or linked to the possible elite status of the member."
How does one interpret this? Does it mean if one is a Plat, tough luck, no double up of your points since one already enjoys point accelerator. Or, it can be interpreted as a double up of the basic points plus point accelerator, ie. if one spends 100 points, the calculation would be 100x2 pts + 100 pts (Point Accl. of original expenditure)=300 pts , which then means I'm owed some points.
So maybe Accor Concierge can answer this query of mine?
