The pots we currently have fit perfectly in the brewers we have onboard. Increasing the size of them means changing every brewer in every galley, so 6 new brewers on a 737 and 10 new ones on the 777, as examples.

In regards to the link for the pump action pots, we would have to hold them up to the brewers for hot water until they're filled. That becomes heavy after the 6th one, and takes quite a bit of time (which we don't have on some flights, such as MAN). They are larger, so we'd have to remove other things from the trolley top, such as ice, water or juice, which I'm sure many wouldn't appreciate.

Ultimately, the cost of replacing every pot and brewer on every aircraft is prohibitive. It would also mean every aircraft coming offline to get refitted. More money...

As an idea, it seems very simple, but with the space and time constraints, it wouldn't work. As I've suggested before, feel free to ask for two cups or a refill - we don't mind at all. In fact the other day, a customer looked at her cup and said "I'm going to need another one" and I was more than happy to provide one.
