Data Catalog: Frequently overbooked flights in the UA/CO network

Dear United/Continental FT forum members,

In efforts to better predict the likelihood of traveling on an oversold/overbooked flights that yield VDBs, I'm creating a database for cataloging frequently overbooked flights (yielding VDBs) on United/Continental (I'm not doing this for any other airline/forum - its just for our FT United forum community). Although there are many factors at play (just like your chances of getting an upgrade), over time we can discern trends. And just like UDUStats help understand upgrade possibilities, the purpose of this is also better understand VDB possibilities.

Please help your fellow travelers and log your encounters of overbooked flights yielding VDBs/IDBs that you've witnessed/experienced. Over time, this open database will not only help derive overall trends, but also empirically derive our own predictive measures for various routes/time-of-day/seasons (I'm a statistician). Updated results will be shared regularly on this thread.

Help enter your information below in the data entry form.

(Please log 1 overbooking occurrence per entry. Repeat the form for multiple entries)

Thanks everyone for contributing to the database.
