For any of the 'outposts' for AA, I'm happy to check in early just in case and deal with boredom at the airport. Did it in Curacao and the airport there has just about nothing to do. But I didn't want to risk any processing delays and possibly missing the few # of scheduled flights they have from there. Just bring a Kindle/iPad and keep yourself entertained.
