It is a nice gift for the infrequent traveler, or even to pass out to an unsuspecting harried traveler or service member you might come across during the holiday season. Last year the expiration was about 1 year later (Dec 31, 2011). I gave one to a friend and his wife on their recent travel to Thailand and they though it was the bomb.
