Last night was a fun evening. Thanks, again, QL, for setting it up. And Randy, thanks, again. I really enjoyed meeting you and all the others.

Barolo Grill report: the restaurant is in Cherry Creek, a pretty neighborhood a few miles away from downtown Denver. (And it's just around the corner from QuantumLeap's home.) I arrived at 7:35 and was the last one there! Doesn't Denver do "fashionably late" like we left coasters? The restaurant is elegant and hip, and it was packed last night. I had the pleasure of meeting Randy P., Flygirl, Bryan at WebFlyer, the very appropriately named Dimples and her friend Chad (no FT handle...yet), pgupta011, and our social host QuantumLeap.

The menu at Barolo Grill is northern Italian - pastas and second courses - plus two prix fixe meals. I ordered the Menu Toscano, which consisted of a seared tuna starter, a memorable Crab "Fondue" (one of the best dishes I have eaten in the last few years), delicious ravioli with figs, soft shell crabs, a terrific fresh fruit galette for dessert. Great choice, QL. Everyone else's meals looked wonderful, too, especially some of the desserts, but I'll let the rest of you speak for yourselves. Highly recommended.

One of the highlights of the meal was the presentation of the OMNI award to Bryan at Web Flyer. After a short speech by QuantumLeap, he presented Bryan's with the award, which consisted of pictures from Switzerland and a nice box of Swiss chocolates from the source. Rudi, that was a wonderful gift - I think we were all touched by your generosity.

Now I'm back safe and sound in SFO after two weeks in Denver; head up North Monday (on I-5 Airways) for my brother's 50th.
