I've received several emails from fellow FlyerTalkers and there seems to be some confusion regarding the availablity of seats on the PIP Express.

While the upstairs Business (C) section is now full, there are still plenty of Downstairs Business (C) seats available for awards/upgrades! Coach is available as well.

And for those that are saving their miles for future trips and flying in Coach on United #57: due to the fact that this is now a 747 with 79 seats in Business Class, your chances should be pretty good for getting upgraded using 500 mile certs at your 24, 72, or 100 hour mark.
