I really don't mind the prepackaged brownies on lunch flights since I PREFER the brownies over the disgusting cranberry cookie. If it was choc chip then different story
The snack box on UaEx flights over 800 miles is pretty pathetic during meal times. DL and AA both offer cold lunch/dinner meals [sandwich, salad, etc] on express flights with an F cabin. I think UA/CO should offer such service since there are some rather lengthy express flights in the system such as SFO-DFW, LAX-AUS, DEN-PIT, etc.
Upgrade the BF product slightly on IAH/EWR-HNL with some BF amenities such as the kit and the nicer blanket with pillows and offer lounge access for C passengers.
Also, implement the CO meal service [with the nicer hot towels] along with the recommended changes and I think CO/UA will have the best domestic F product in the skies IMO.
Implement the CO meal service? Not sure why you consider that an improvement.
I do like the CO hot towels, especially since they're served before the nuts (UA serves towels after nuts). However, I miss the UA tablecloth and don't understand why CO can't coordinate serving the nuts with the drink (usually my nuts are long gone before drink arrives). Most of all, I don't get why CO consistently serves hot soup and hot entree at the same time, so my entree gets cold while I eat my soup (UA serves soup first).
Neither airline seems to do a consistently good job of offering wines soon after depositing your food tray with empty wine glass, but my experience so far suggests that UA is less clueless than CO. I've even seen CO FAs take the unused wine glasses back to the galley to fill them.
What have I missed about CO meal service that you prefer?
