Thanks
exAC. The Ticket Counter was open at 5am when I checked in but the Check-In Agent was friendly & accomodating, but was unable to confirm posive D or W space YYZ-YVR so she couldn't reroute me. I was handed my original YUL-YVR AC111 BP W-class (D/J waitlist).
Not to be outdone, however, I noticed the Ticket Counter Agents were arriving so I approached another friendly Agent, noting my request to reroute for AC161 & it's notebook power-ports (on my AP Biz Award ticket). She miraculously manipulated the file & handed me YUL-YYZ AC481 & YYZ-YVR AC161 standby BP's. And no change fee.
I ended up getting on YUL-YYZ AC485 @ 6:15am (a CRJ aircraft ~ my first time on one of these puppies!) & upon arrival in YYZ the Gate Agent (from the departing YYZ-YOW flight) produced a confirmed J/D AC161 BP for me. So I was off to the T2 Domestic MLL to savour the moment.
Congrats AC. I am thrilled to post that every AC Agent I encountered on my last-minute YVR-YYZ-YUL/YUL-YYZ-YVR journey [originally YVR-YEG-YYZ-YUL/YUL-YVR] was extremely friendly, patient, & accomodating. Now this is service ~ well done AC.
And thank you to everyone who offered assistance. It is sincerely appreciated. The moral of the story is be polite, be prepared, & be early. It works for me!
Cheers. Dogstar.
