UA Int'l Business Class below industry standards
Recently flew non-stop SFO-FRA RT on United Int'l Business Class. Paid $7,600 for 12-hour flight on ancient 777-200 aircraft w/o full-recline seats, power outlets, wi-fi, as well as a personal video monitor that didn't work. After writing to complain about lack of basic business amenities for a flight at this price, United's "gesture of support" was a $350 voucher and a disclaimer that they cannot guarantee the level of international business class service until their full fleet is reconfigured by the end of 2012.
Question: why would I book with United and hope for a good flight/service when I can book on another airline who can guarantee comfort/service?
