Agreed, but I have some on-site client commitments in Vancouver that I hastily "pushed back" thus would like to maximise the day there if I can. I'll definitely use the MLL as a backup option (virtual office) if I can't get the re-route or confirmed-D seat.

Gazou2002. Seeing as my itin is presently YUL-YVR (direct) is there any "magic" to requesting the YUL-YYZ-YVR routing modification? Or because I'm requesting to go same-day standby on a Biz Award the slight routing modification should be straightforward?
What's my best option at Dorval in the morning? The Ticket Counter, Check-In counter, gate agent, or MLL? I guess I'm trying to be as prepared as possible so I know who to ask & how to ask. The Boy Scout motto "be prepared" has always done me well. <grin>
