Yep. February of this year I needed to go to Louisville in a hurry but caught a fare special to IND, where I rented a Thrifty car for a whole lot of mileage in three days.
The pickup was more than prompt because the vans had piled up and my driver had simply waited at this pickup location instead of doing the loop without any pax, as many do.
I had ordered a mid-size and was given a Saturn L model with very low mileage. The return was quick and easy, the contract printed out in a hurry, and the van was right at the door to take us back immediately.
The only problem was not Thrifty's fault. The almost new Saturn L was a consummately lousy car which nobody in his right mind would select for a high speed hundred mile trip on the Interstate.
