I often wear sandals, cargo shorts and the first soccer jersey I grab from my closet when flying. I've never had a problem accessing a club, but as I mentioned I enjoy some of the looks. I actually get a decent amount of comments on my jerseys - "My son loves Manchester" or "I was born in Holland." I'm certainly a violator myself, but I find it incredibly amusing how many assumptions are based upon appearance. I work a job that "dressing up" means jeans and a polo - and I like that. I could not handle wearing a suit+tie daily, but props to those who do.
If I ever get out of the US and fly C or F, I'd probably not wear sandals/shorts/soccer jersey - but I am a paying customer and as long as I am not in violation of any rules/regulations I'd prefer to be comfortable for the time I spend at 30,000 feet.
Hi
SEABrad. I hate to tell you this, but your feet sweat just like the rest of your body and they will smell after a while. That's the reason many of us don't like people wearing sandals. Wearing socks helps but you can still have some stinky feet. I don't care too much what people wear on their body or feet, as long as I don't have to smell it or see it.

Long Zhiren, Did you really just compare yourself to an angel?
