A memorable description spoken by a family with just one kid brought a smile to face. Young son asked dad how the boarding order worked as they were waiting to board. Dad says something like "People with problems go first, then people who fly too much, and then the normal people..."

Good question. I've haven't been in an AA lounge, but an AA friend who got his million miles the old fashioned way tells me that the AA lounge host/hostess has a lot of power to get him upgrades. Is this true in RCC/PC lounges too?

A corollary to that mystery is how a couple other friends can make dozens of frequent roundtrips from SFO to HAN or similar, continues to do so and still not have bothered to optimize their frequent flyer accumulations, or cashed in on some perks that they really are well-entitled to now... It makes me ill imagining how anyone can fly that much and do it in cattle class every time.

I totally missed the opportunity to fly Hooters Air. I would have expected chicken wings and more in F from Rocklin to ATL.

I often wear sandals,
Can somebody please explain that one to me? The reverse prohibition makes sense to me--bringing my lounge drinks out to the nearest sports bar so I can see the game that's not showing in the lounge... I often wear Tevas, and with socks--the whole idea of going through security in my bare feet grosses me out. Sandals make a lot of sense for long days of travel and/or in/out of hot/humid places.

Sorry for getting religious, but I don't like disclosing what status I have, or having to dress to advertise it. When joking, I'll say that I'm plutonium elite, or lifetime depleted uranium or something. There's a saying that men have entertained angels and not known it. I like to keep it that way. There's a lot of reasons to behave all the time and in all places, but some people just don't get it.
