Very much a last minute thing, but I am headed to Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai tomorrow. I hear that Loi Khrathong, the releasing of candles on mimiature rafts to send all your troubles and bad karma floating away, is particularly pretty up north. If you have been to either place, your suggestions are welcome, as this will be my first time.

Kan Air? No, I'd never heard of them before either. They fly one 12-seat Cessna 208B Grand Caravan. I'm excited. Or maybe I should be concerned.

I don't have a flight back to BKK yet. I'll play it by ear, maybe go on a tour into the hills or something.
