I searched and did not find a thread discussing this subject. Last night a medical emergency delayed departure to ATL by ~1 hr . We arrived 36 minutes late at the gate. By the time I got off the plane the GIDS showed the connection as flight closed. All the remaining flights for the evening were zeroed out. Rebooking station produced a boarding pass for this morning and nothing else. SC agent said that I was not entitled to any meal or hotel vouchers. Do medical emergencies fall into weather or mechanical IROPS categories as far as compensation goes?
