How long were you Diamond before you applied for the card?

I applied for a Diamond trial a few weeks ago. I could see the new status on hyatt.com a few hours after receiving their email response. The next day even my suite upgrades were viewable online and I figured everything had firmly taken hold. I pulled the trigger and applied for the card.

A week later the card arrived in a plain envelope as you describe. When I called to activate, I was told my signup bonus was the 1 standard night + 1 additional after $1,000 spend. Chase had not recognized my new Diamond status.

I am currently waiting for Chase customer service to sort it out. I would advise anyone whose status has recently changed to wait a few extra days before applying for the card.
