Can't remember which Caribbean Island it was, but I had accompanied my husband on the trip (he was the Skipper),and the acft went tech during the turnaround. My husband came into the gate lounge to explain the delay to pax personallly, and the reasons why the acft would be night stopping. I thought it was very good of him to do that, and was amazed to find him being verbally attacked by pax, demanding to be flown home immediately. They just wouldn't grasp that he felt the acft was unsafe. Not really pertinent to this thread, but just wanted to say that it's no surprise if the crew sometimes don't put in a personal appearance after a display like that one..
