6 hour delay at NRT due to the snow in the UK last December.
Turned up at the airport on time anyway, went to the checkin desk and was immediately rebooked on a JAL flight that would get me into Heathrow within a few minutes of my original arrival time. The BA staff behind the counter had clipboards full of alternative seats on other airlines and were just rebooking people as they showed up - the smoothest disruption I've ever experienced!
Then as I was sitting in the JAL Sakura lounge my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I went to the reception desk and asked if they could do anything - within five minutes I was rebooked on a later flight (which turned out to be the only LHR-GLA that ran that day!).
Made good use of ba.com/welldone after I was home!
