Speaking selfishly, I hope you're right about the credit card! I think what I meant though is that while it may not be conclusive proof, it may well be something that BA look out for if they are trying to root out Euro-cheats. Although I suppose that now eurorates are on their last legs BA are probibly not very interested in exposing these foul criminals

Eitherway, I made a MUP booking this morning and when I paid with my UK amex the lady did gently question again that "You did say a UK credit card?" I explained that I maintain my UK cards as that is where my credit history is and where I will be returning to live ultimately.
Your situation illustrates ideally what I was trying to say. Often it is not as clear cut as someone living in the UK and 'borrowing' a false address in Euroland, or someone living permanently in Euroland. Now we have European freedom of movement, people can be 'living' in more than one country. And in such circumstances they are likely to use airlines quite a lot.
