I shopped Ultrabooks for the last 6 weeks. Amazon reviews seem the best indicator of quality on the current builds. I looked at zenbooks ux-21, ux-31, Asus S3, mac air 11 and 13, and Lenovo U330, and many netbooks. Weight quality and performance were criteria. Netbooks included Acer D257 and 722. I went with the mac air 11.6 4GB I5 128 off amazon as it was in the middle on price and high end on quality and performance and low end on weigh and I am definitely not an apple fanboy. I will be putting on Win 7 and office later today. In my short term experience, battery life on the mac air 11.6 is not quite what is advertised. Everything else is. I will be turning down the lights and turning off processes today to see if it gets better.
