A great report, thank you - Tuscany is a very difficult place for luxury country hotels, and reports on this board have been hugely mixed, so it is great to now see that there are a couple that are worth a visit. Having said that, your FS experience is a real surprise, but it just goes to show that even the supposedly first tier properties don't always deliver for every guest.
