Thanks, all, great thoughts and suggestions.
Hotel has a "package" that includes station/airport transfers and Pompeii transfers, but it is substantially more expensive (and not worth it, IMHO).
Capri is a MUST on the trip - part of the trip purpose is to duplicate photos my dad took in the 1940's (to show a then vs now comparison). We'll need time in Pompeii (and my wife is not only a history buff but a geologist by training, meaning that I was told in no uncertain terms that she WOULD be going to Pompeii when I went to take those pictures). He did Pompeii, Capri, and a couple of shots in Naples, all of which should be easy to duplicate. I've already done Rome, but we'll stop and visit there, too. Just because. (In Rome, we're not staying at the Grand Flora as I got a MUCH better deal on an award stay at the Westin Excelsior - and even if it were a cash rate, the Westin is cheaper).
