SCL-PUQ-MPN-Ascension Island-Oxford//AMS-CPH-KEF-LON-Bermuda-ORD-SCL
The next level would be South America-Africa-Europe-North America-South America. Country hopping in Africa is pretty expensive!

I also found a trip report but couldn't link to the individual post. A guy saying that you get escorted in and out of the islands by an RAF Tornado. Also that you get a free stopover in Ascension if you want until the next flight is passing.
Does LAN have a Tornado escort? NO!
