Thanks for all the replies. I guess it makes sense, but it is a bit frustrating. DOes anyone know what would happen if I booked the trip from AMS and back, but didn't do the last LHR-AMS leg, and instead bought a separate LHR-GLA flight? It would save me hours getting home!
