What kind of service can I expect to receive from EK J class? (EK404/SIN-MEL)

For example, in SQ:

I can request for the 'exclusive' SQ Teddy Bear that's exclusive to premium pax
Book-the-cook
'Personalised' Greetings
Champagne/drinks/snacks in between flights

So is there anything that I can receive from EK as a memento? What can I request for in the cabin?

Heard they'll take Polaroid photos?

BTW, do they serve champagne in Y class?

thks all!

Welcome (again!)

I take this flight often. In fact, I am on it tonite in J. The service won't be as consistent as SQ.

Here's what you can expect.

- Welcome drink (once onboard). Moet or VC, water, orange juice, apple juice etc. Unlike some US carriers, you will be served pre-departure drinks in a real champagne flute (not plastic)
- Full Dinner service (the meal delivery has been improved) with a very decent wine selection
- you should be given a amenity bag (male and female ones)
- socks and eyeshades are in your seat back
- noise cancelling headphones (dont take them home!)
- breakfast will be served prior to arrival
- express landing card

I tend to want to sleep on this flight, so rarely eat dinner (better to eat and drink in the lounge). A mattress pad will be provided when you want to convert your seat. If not, they will be in the overhead bins. If the flight is empty (which is rare) grab 2 x pads. If the FA starts waving their arms in protest, pretend you don't speak English

They normally only take polaroids of families and kids - but I suppose you can ask.

They might give you playing cards or an EK pen or similar if you ask nicely.

If you're in Y, you can actually buy the little mini bottles of Moet if you want (I think its US$8 per bottle). Otherwise it's wine, beers, spirits etc

Let us know what you think...
