I'm not saying it will happen, but I don't see why it couldn't. I would not want to be the lab rat.
I've got another account that didn't go as planned, and is only going to end up at 4 hits. Right now 3 have credited. I'm awfully tempted to do Netflix as the 4th, and cancel on 1 January.
Since Netflix is priced month-to-month, I can't see how they can hold you to a 6+ month subscription. The risk of 6k miles might be worth it to know whether the threat is empty or not.
It's also possible that they're threatening something they have no intention of following through on. Doesn't it seem a little ridiculous to remove ALL miles for one hit that is rescinded?
