He has 12 tickets, and LAX-CAN-KUL is 14,241 km in each direction, or 28,482 rt. Multiplying that by 12 and also by .3 results in 102.5k points.... not exactly chump change.

ETA: Apologies for using CAN as the connecting airport (instead of PVG); since the total distance traveled is only off by 20 km, I'm not inclined to redo the math.
