Actually there are a bunch of "Hyatts" in the RDU area. At least another Hyatt Place I am aware of.

I suspect most of the hotels in the RDU area tend to be meant for longer stays. Folks spending a week in the area for work kind of things. At least that has been my experience over the past 1-2 years. I see the same folks come in Mon ... check out Fri ...

May check out the "new" Sierra next month to see what it is like. If anyone has feedback, appreciate the heads up.
