Agree.

However, thanks to the festive rush, you may need more time with the Passport Control, Baggage & the Inter-Terminal Transfer.

Since its for a senior person, I would recommend either of following:

1. EWR-BOM-AMD on AI 144, no aircraft change- just a halt at BOM.
2. BOM-AMD on AI 130 which departs from the International Terminal at 01:45.
