This thread is about limited seat selection on a 54% full flight. Nothing else.

SEA-SNA at 10am on an off-season Friday.
My child is <7.
Let me dummy this down. Coach is booked to 60, has 52 open seats, and as a very seasoned, but non-elite, hoity-toity traveler, I can only pick from 9 single seats. Not even 2 together. That's fair???

Should not have to call reservations to get seating in this scenario, but glad I did and glad to be seated together.
