Hi all, IHG recently announced plans to revamp the Crowne Plaza brand. Apparently that they want to move the Crowne Plaza a level up to match hotel brands like Marriott and Sheraton. Frankly I think many Crowne Plazas are only margionally better than some good Holiday Inns, then again there is few ICs are only margionally better than Crowne Plazas.

So, question for you, what do you think Crowne Plaza should do to make our stay better?

My personal idea is that I think IHG should make Crowne Plaza to recognise the Ambassador status and make them a sub-level to InterContinental (thus some ICs to be downgraded to Crowne Plaza and some Crowne Plaza being upgraded to IC). With Ambassador being a programme for both IC and Crowne Plaza it could help CP to recognise potential clients with higher expectation in hotel service standard and make CP a level up. And hopefully it could be easier for many of us to retain RA as CP stay would be considered as IC stay as well. What is your input?
