Let me tell you, they were NOT joking. While the FA's were not by any means rude, they were just never around. I watched almost an entire movie from the time they started dinner service until they finally came and took everyone's trays. I sat there with an empty tray in my lap for a little over an hour! We never saw them again until breakfast was served. I only slept for a few hours, so unless they came through then, we only saw them for dinner and breakfast. (Their J seats are worse than the recliners on the DL 76-ER’s.)
I was sitting in the first row of J, and after their announcement, I did hear one FA tell the F passengers not to worry, they'd still get good service.
I have had better service in Y on a DL domestic than what we got last night. Unbelievable.
Anyone else have a similar situation since the strike “ended”?
I flew the A380 CDG-JFK Tuesday and heard the same message and got very similar sub-par service. No menus distributed, no hot towels, meal came with everything at once.
My BCN-CDG flight was subbed with an all Y config OK A320 - We got a cup of juice and a biscuit, oh and bus service at CDG.
Overall I made it safely, but c'mon AF.
