Actually I am the antithesis of the whole Christmas thing - but the Germans do it beautifully. I will be in Berlin this year - last year walking down the Unter Den Linden was simply magical. The atmosphere was very gay in all senses of the word and I loved it.

So my vote is for Berlin - non stop from LHR. Even the Hauptbahnhof was beautiful with the Christmas Tree - and my best friend was so in love with his new man. The only thing that I can do without is that Gluwein (mulled yuk!).

So I will be there again.
