I was like you, Ipad full of all seasons of 24, Spooks etc, more books than I could read, and I still make use of them, but 2 things recently have added to my diversion factor...

1) Busuu.com. learn a language, in my case Portuguese. The app doesnt cost more than a couple of dollars, and after about 3 months I am at conversational level.

2) get a UK Ip address (cost about 8 US dollars per month) which means you can then watch all BBC iplayer, ITV player, Channel 4 player, more TV than you can ever take in!
