Jetstar actually offer great service, if I'm not wrong they have won many awards for LCC service. Jetstar although a LCC are no where near as cheap as Tiger, but Tiger struggles to grow their business in Australia.
In the Scoot launch, they mentioned the focus will be on flights within 10 hours of Singapore, so looks like US and Europe are out the picture for now. The four launch destinations are rumoured to be in China and Australia.
