I'm currently scheduled to arrive in BBK on the 13th continuing to HKG. Two days later I'm supposed to travel to Phuket (via BKK) for few days. It's going to be my first trip to Thailand and I've been looking forward to the trip, but I'm wondering whether I should reconsider the trip. Any advice?
The problems are in the Chao Phraya basin and have absolutely no effect on other areas. Food and water are easily found at non-inflated prices in other areas.

Assumptions on the flood would be a mistake.
