Talking of stuff, would you need to sell eg your bed, sofa, tv, etc. what would the loss factor be.
You might also want to look into whether not having a 'real' address but only a c/o hotel might mean for things like getting credit cards etc.
Consider other things like laundry? How easy is it going to be to do, how much is it going to cost you.
All the furniture we own was bought with the idea of leaving it behind at some point, so we don't really care.
I would get a private mail box (not a PO box) for about $200 a year. Laundry costs us about $10 a week now, which I assume would be on par with the hotel laundry.
I don't see the difference with renting an apt vs a hotel room and going on vacation
