What's the impact of the flooding on other places in Thailand, e.g. Phuket? Judging by the lack of coverage in Western media I can only assume that the situation in Bangkok is not getting worse. I understand that there was no direct impact on Phuket, but has there been any indirect impact such as food/water shortage, etc?

I'm currently scheduled to arrive in BBK on the 13th continuing to HKG. Two days later I'm supposed to travel to Phuket (via BKK) for few days. It's going to be my first trip to Thailand and I've been looking forward to the trip, but I'm wondering whether I should reconsider the trip. Any advice?
