It is worth it. To me, being able to go to the Horizon gates and turn a 2 or 3 hour connection, as purchased, in SEA or PDX, into a 10 minute no checked bag connection getting me on my way. Love to watch the screens as others quietly mumble if they'll get a seat & ask "where did that new name at #1 just come from?". On a full flight on standby, at #1 on the list all I need is for 1 person to not show.

Also helps a lot in getting an upgrade from the GA when an earlier one was lost due to a SDC move up.
