I will be soon flying a transcon, SEA-MIA with AS metal, AA code. I was wondering if in this situation has anyone succeed in upgrading to F either by buy-up or by inserting a Delta FF# (with status- since they have reciprocal agreement on this)?

If either one of the above is possible, any tips on how to do this?

What about access to the AS lounges? [If none, I might hop over to the BA lounge if time permits]
