Warning - Delta Compliment follows

Travelling through SLC yesterday in First, on the inbound leg the FA came up and acknowledged he would be seeing me on the subsequent, outbound leg (despite a plane change). He went to the galley and came back with the gate change details for SLC, and asked me where I was sitting on the next leg (row 5 on a 757). When I told him, he asked me for my meal preference, "just in case" and sure enough, on the next leg I got the same stellar cabin service and the meal I wanted! Luckily I had a 'Job well done" certificate, and yes, I will be writing to Delta as well. Great service Bob.

Contrast this with my last TATL trip where as a DM in coach I was treated to the new "turd in a Jacuzzi" welcome from the FA, (admittedly she was still upset at having been expelled from the SS for bullying recently) and while she wasn't curdling milk and frightening babies, she was being obnoxiously rude to everyone in EC who HAD paid for the privilege, while hunting down the interlopers like rats in a trap. Not good for Delta or any of the pax.

Anyway, some excellent service from some real customer care professionals yesterday recovered a lot of good will on my part.
